"It is time for us to reclaim our creativity as adults, encourage true creativity in our children and share with the world what we each have within us. "
I believe that everyone is creative. We were born with curiosity and creativity within us, and the potential to create anything we wanted. I believe art and creating (recipes, products, art, anything) is good for the soul. It creates an outlet for release, a way to sense control over life, a way to let go of control, a way to meditate, a way to tap into intuition and spirit for guidance.
I believe sharing your art with the world helps create understanding and shared experience or a shared world-view. It’s a way for others to experience life beyond their own thoughts and experiences and learn from what others are sharing. Be it pain, political views, happiness, joy, confusion, loss, peace… any and all experiences of life can be shared through creative forms. They are all important experiences no matter how brutal, simple or beautiful.
This is why we are drawn to novels and films, they allow us to live a life that is not our own and to experience all that life has to offer in the same moment. It’s a chance to feel the loss of love while living within a peaceful marriage, to laugh with pure joy while grieving a loss.
Creating something helps connect us with others, with ourselves and with our personal value.
I want others to see the value in their life, their experience and what they create. I want to start a revolution to make creating important to everyday life and living. It’s a beautiful way to expand our brains, learn, express and stake our claim on this earth and declare our existence and experience to be of value.
I believe in a world where people use painting, drawing or writing with no rules or limits, where product doesn’t matter, to release, to learn, to have a say, to meditate for inner calm, and to believe in our own value. A world where everyone remembers the joy of creating they felt as a child. A world where we realize that creating, painting, or writing brings mental clarity, spiritual growth and self-acceptance.
Creativity does not belong to any one group of people, a lucky few, it belongs to each of us.
It is time for us to reclaim our creativity as adults, encourage true creativity in our children and share with the world what we each have within us.
I hope you are ready to reclaim your creativity and share (if not with the world and least with a private stack of paper) your true creative self.
